My Guest in this Episode is Rob Sciglimpaglia.
Robert has appeared on National Television several times. He is best known as the DAD on the 2012 Chevy SUPER BOWL COMMERCIAL, HAPPY GRAD. He has appeared several times on Travel Channel’s “Mystery at the Museum”, Discovery ID’s “My Dirty Little Secret”, History Channels “Engineering an Empire”, a Recurring Role on Discovery ID’s “Watching the Detectives”, and has had several series regular roles on various shows. He most recently appeared in a Television pilot called “Male Bondage” where he is one of the series regulars.
Most recently, he was asked to play the lead in a new feature film where the part was written for him. The film is called “One” and will begin shooting in Fall of 2014.
University of Connecticut, where he graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Political Science. Robert then graduated from Pace University School of Law in 1991. He passed the Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania bar exams on his first attempt and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1991. He is currently a practicing attorney, as well as an actor and accomplished voice over artist. Robert hosted a local radio program back in the mid 1990’s called “The Law Show”, and more recently, hosted a radio show called “Ask the Lawyer.”
He had the honor of writing a chapter in the fourth edition of the book The Art of Voice Acting, written by James Alburger, which is considered by many to be the bible of the voice over industry. He is also the author of the book Voice Over Legal.
Robert has done on camera or voice overs for: the LA Dodgers, Dean Koontz’s book, “The Husband”, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Aquafina Water, GlaxoSmithKline, Mountain Dew, the CIA, the US Marines, Reebok, TGIFridays, Zales Jewelers, Doritos, XpressBet.com, Saratoga Raceway, and many more. He has also appeared on camera in numerous commercials and industrial videos.
Robert has also helped many, many students, both beginning and experienced, get started in the voice over industry, and advance in the business, through teaching and production of their demos.
